What are we looking for in a restaurant?

It's simple really-- all I want is good food, comfortable atmosphere, attentive and friendly service and it needs to be a good value. I don't mind paying a lot for a meal if it is a good meal. I do mind paying anything for blah food or bad service.

The criteria that will show up in every restaurant review are
1) ambiance (is it a nice place to be?)
2) food quality (is the food yummy?)
3) service (does the server know how to do their job?)
4) price (straightforward -- how much does the food cost?)
5) value (is the food worth the price?)
6) overall (culmination of the whole experience)

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my new restaurant review blog!

Reno has a ton of restaurants, diners, cafes and eateries and it can be hard to know where to go out to eat. I hope by sharing my experiences I can help you figure out what establishments are worth your money and time.

Often we take along 2 kids when we go out. So most of my restaurant reviews are from more of a family or 'dining with kids' view. However, occasionally for a treat, we leave the kids behind and head out for a special evening.

I'm happy to have your input, advice or suggestions (just leave them as comments)!
